 | In the clouds. Playing with convex polygons What do you see when you look into the clouds? A sheep, a dragon? Mathematicians can also stare endlessly into clouds, point clouds that is, or a clump of points in the plane. Today, the sport becomes seeing so-called convex polygons in them. Mathematics B-day During the Dutch Mathematics Day Contest students work in teams of about 3 to 4 members on an open mathematical problem solving task during a couple of hours. The product of this work is a report (and sometimes a presentation). |
