On the left page of this book there are four numbers. Use these numbers to make the number written on the right page. If you succeed, it will be clear why this book is a Book of Magic. These are the rules: - You have to use all four numbers - You can use your first outcome as one of the numbers in the next sum. You will always end up with three sums. - If you feel a problem is too hard, then try one of the problems on the next pages. Click on the corner to turn the page. This book has 10 pages, with the magic numbers 31 to 40. Mail us (at rekenmaar) if you have found all solutions, and tell us which problem was the hardest. If you want us to, we shall search our library for another Book of Magic.

On the left page of this book you see four numbers. Use these numbers and the buttons for +, -, : and x, to make the number on the other page. If you can find the right solution, you will see for yourself why this is a magic book.

Please note:

  • You can use each of the four numbers only once, but you have to use them all.
  • The outcome of an addition, subtraction, division or multiplication can be used in the next sum. You always have to write three sums.
  • If you find a problem too hard, just try another one. Go to the next page by clicking on the corner of the page.
