It is possible to take a taxi from Schiphol to the hotel (you have to phone Taxi Baaij: tel: +31 (0)72-5071328 , give your flight number and they will pick you up at the airport, costs approx. € 50,00).
You can also take the train to Alkmaar and then bus 165 to Egmond aan Zee, leave the bus at Zeeweg (directly opposite to the hotel). For a time table, see the scheme.
You need a "strippenkaart" for the bus.
Off course a taxi (Taxi Baaij: tel: +31 (0)72-5071328) from Alkmaar to the hotel is possible as well (11 minutes).
2, 3 or 8-strip strippenkaarten can easily be acquired from the bus or tram driver. However, if possible the driver should be paid with exact change in view of the fact that he only has a limited amount of change available.
These strippenkaarten are more expensive than the strippenkaarten available at the advance sales outlets. It is thus more economical to buy a 15 or 45 strip strippenkaart at an advance sales outlet. Advance sales outlets can be found at the ticket offices of the local and regional transport companies, post offices, sub post offices and a great number of OV-Shops such as bookstores, tobacco shops and supermarkets.
